Grant Community Council:
Being part of the School Community Council (SCC) is a great way to get involved, have your voice heard, and help to represent the community in decisions that impact the Grant student body. The SCC is responsible, in coordination with school administration, for creating the School LANDTrust Plan annually. SCC members help determine how School LANDTrust funds distributed to the school each year are spent. The council reviews and prepares other academic plans for our students each year. All plans are reviewed for final approval by our school board. Councils also act in an advisory capacity to school and school district administrations.
Elections for members of the SCC take place in the fall at the beginning of each school year. However, all are welcome to participate in meetings, even if you do not hold a seat on the council.

Qualifications:
Every public school in Utah has a School Community Council. The councils are made up of school employees who are elected by employees and parents who are elected by parents of students attending the school. Membership terms are for two years. Parent members must have a student attending the school at least one of the two years of their term of service. Employees must be employed by the school district at the school.
